FAQ

Below are some of the most commonly asked questions about our ministry. If your question is not answered, we would love to hear from you. You can reach out to us, or better yet, come join us for our Sunday service!

About the Bridge

ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN CHURCH?

Yes. You can view our statement of faith here to learn more about what we believe.

ARE YOU AFFILIATED WITH ANY PARTICULAR DENOMINATION OR CHURCH NETWORK?

No. The Bridge Church is an non-denominational, “free” church, operating independent of any national or regional denomination.

WHAT IS YOUR LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE?

We believe the church belongs to Christ and that He is the head of the church (see Colossians 1:18). Under Jesus, we practice a shared leadership model of church government in which all of our pastors and elders lead together, mutually submit to one another, and hold one another accountable (see Acts 14:23).

WHAT IS A “FREE-CHURCH”?

A free-church operates independent of, and is in no way subordinate to, the civil government, having no designation through incorporation (state jurisdiction) or the tax-exempt 501c3 status (federal jurisdiction).

A free church does not seek to define government policy, nor have governments define church policy or theology, nor seeks or receives government endorsement or funding for its general mission. Free churches enjoy all the rights an privileges granted to the practice of religious faith under the Constitution of the United States. Free churches are able to freely preach on all aspects of doctrine that would normally not be permitted under a corporation church structure. For more information about free churches and the free church status of the Bridge, please contact Adrian Wilcox at adrian@thebridgepb.org.

Sundays

WHAT TIMES IS THE BRIDGE CHURCH’S SUNDAY SERVICE?

Our Sunday services start at 10:30 AM with a time of fellowship and prayer starting at 10 AM.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

Parking is available on the North side of Palm Street in designated spaces. Additional parking is available on either side of Alabama Ave to the East of the church, or in the large lot at the end of Alabama Ave. When possible we ask that spaces immediately outside the church entrance be left open for the elderly and families with small children. You can learn more about parking at the Bridge on our Sunday information page by clicking here.

DO YOU HAVE A CHILDREN’S MINISTRY?

Yes, we do! The Bridge Kids ministry is available for our Sunday morning services and many of our other church gatherings for children up to 5th grade. Click here for more information on our Bridge Kids Ministry.

DO YOU HAVE A YOUTH MINISTRY?

DO YOU DEDICATE CHILDREN IN YOUR SERVICES?

We do! To get information and schedule a time to dedicate your child, please email jamie@thebridgepb.org.

DO YOU HAVE A MIDWEEK SERVICE OR SMALL GROUPS?

Yes! While our largest gatherings happen on Sundays, during the week our church body meets in smaller groups across the city that we call small groups. Click here to find a community group in your area.

DO YOU OFFER COUNSELING?

We have pastors and staff available to provide biblical counseling and prayer. Please email pastor@thebridgepb.org or speak to any church leader for more information.

HOW CAN I SERVE?

We are always looking for volunteers to serve in a number of ministry functions. You can find information on volunteering here.

Outreach

HOW ARE YOU ENGAGED IN MINISTRY IN THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH?

Our local missions group seeks to serve in various outreach and community activities. You can learn more about our outreach programs here.

DO YOU SUPPORT FOREIGN MISSIONS?

Yes! Learn more about our Global Missions here.

Giving

HOW CAN I CONTRIBUTE FINANCIALLY TO THE CHURCH?

Our Sunday offering is collected at the kiosk at the fellowship area at the back of the church. If you are looking for an alternative to the Sunday offering, you can donate online here. You can also send a check to Bridge Church, 515 Palm Street, West Palm Beach, FL 33401.

WHERE DOES CHURCH MONEY GO?

Great question. We seek to handle our financial resources as frugally and responsibly as possible, with the understanding that they are worshipful gifts that God’s people have given back to Him. We maintain an open-book policy and openly discuss financial matters with our church family, often sharing details on Sundays or in leadership meetings.

ARE MY DONATIONS TO THE BRIDGE TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

Any contributions made to the Bridge are “automatically qualified” as a tax write-off to the contributor, pursuant to IRS Publication 526, and IRS Code § 170(c)(2)(B). You can read more about the tax deductibility of donations to churches on the IRS website here. A receipt is provided for your donation on request, or at the giving kiosk at the time of your donation. If you have any questions, please contact Adrian Wilcox at adrian@thebridgepb.org. As every donor’s situation is unique, please consult your accountant or tax preparer about the deduction of donations.

CAN I GET A DONATION LETTER FOR MY DONATIONS?

As of January 2015 receipts for your donations are provided through our giving kiosk. If you made your donation online your receipt is emailed to you. For check donations, please request a copy of your receipt on your tithe envelope. It is possible to retrieve past receipts with your credit or debit card through the giving kiosk. Please ask for assistance or contact us at giving@thebridgepb.org for more assistance.
